Another trip to see Meme, Papa, and Uncle John

Audrey and I took off on the road again this weekend. We headed to see Meme, Papa, and Uncle John. Audrey had lots of new things to show them. The first was "Paddie Cake"....she has started her clap-clap for everything. She is not proned to perform on command, so we were lucky to catch her in the act for some pictures. Second, was her new pouty face. Once again, not performed on command, so we don't have any pictures. The pouty face had us in stitches laughing!

There is always lots of crazy fun with Meme and Papa. We played dress up with some bunny ears, enjoyed playing with (or more like harrassing) Max, the cat; and last but not least, learned to fly with the help of Uncle John.

We always have so much fun on our visits!!

My First Father's Day with Daddy

Audrey was very excited to spend her first Father's Day with her favorite person in the whole world....Daddy! We had a great brunch and enjoyed each other's company all day. As you can see, Audrey had a special card for Daddy and some special gifts. Audrey and Daddy watched the US Open together and played on the floor for most of the afternoon. What more could a Daddy ask for!

A Visit to Meme, Papa, and Uncle John

Audrey and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Greenville; visiting a few of our most favorite people! We spent the weekend with Meme and Papa, and has an incredible lunch with Uncle John on Sunday. As always, Miss Audrey did not lack for attention. She and Papa spent most of Saturday morning together; playing and laughing with each other. It is such a joy to see my parents and brother with Audrey! We love them all so much!

On the road again....first stop, Columbia

Audrey and I headed out on the road again for the weekend. We were headed to Greenville to see Meme and Papa. On our way, we stopped over on Thursday night to spend the night with Kelly Rampey (aka: Aunt Kelly); and we got to see Mr. and Mrs. Rampey (aka: Papa and Meme2).
We spent an lovely night with them enjoying dinner and playing with Miss Audrey. Audrey just loves Aunt Kelly! She has such a great time with her. She also enjoyed harassing Zack, Kelly's cat....see pictures. Thank you to the Rampeys for loving us so much!

Happy 7 Months Birthday!!

Today is Miss Audrey's 7 month Birthday! This last month has been very exciting and full of discovery! Audrey is enjoying daily exploration of everything within arm-length. We are learning the art of strategic placement of many things these days. We can't wait to see what this next month will bring....maybe some teeth!

Last stop, Boston!

It was hard to leave Curtis Hollow Farm, but our next stop was waiting....Boston! Daddy was very anxious to get to Boston; as he had some great tickets to see the Red Sox play! We arrived in the city just in time to check-in to our hotel and get ready for Miss Audrey's first Red Sox game. She was decked out in "My first Red Sox t-shirt"; thanks to JoEllen Gold....she bought it for Audrey on their last trip to Boston. Once we got to the game, Daddy insisted we buy her a Red Sox hat. I think it made the outfit!!

We were fortunate enough to have special tickets in the EMC club; where we had dinner and watched the game from box seats. What a way to see a game! We even got a picture with the 2007 World Series trophy before security stored it away for the night!

Papa Joe says he will make sure Audrey sees her first Yankees game soon! I think we might have a family rivalry on our hands!

We also spent some time being tourists in Boston. We had a great lunch at Quincy Market and toured through the Public Gardens. Although our time was short in Boston, we packed in lots of fun and a great time together!

Next stop....Vermont

Our next stop on our trip up North was to Woodstock, VT. We left Glens Falls and took a beautiful drive through some precious towns. We were invited to stay on a 110 acres farm, Curtis Hollow Farm owned by Dan and Susie Sullivan. Dan and Angus have become friends via phone and email over the last few months. Dan graciously invited us to stay at their farm house....and what a house it is....see the pics. Curtis Hollow is a glorious piece of heaven on earth.

Dan and Susie are preparing Curtis Hollow Farm for their daughter's wedding in August. We were also privileged to meet the parents of the groom, John and Marilyn McEntyre.

Susie and Marilyn prepared a wonderful dinner for us on Thursday evening. What fun we had meeting new friends and filling our tummys!

Schroon Lake...what a special place!

Our trip up north began in Glens Falls with a visit to see Angus's mother, Liz. Liz has not been well, but she was in good spirits and enjoyed our visit.

We left Glens Falls and headed north to Schroon Lake. Angus's family has had a lake house on Schroon Lake for many years. It is truly his favorite place on earth. His brother, Rick has spent the last few years fixing up and modernizing the house; while maintaining its charm. He has done an amazing job....it is beautiful. Rick and Mary live at Schroon Lake year round now. They have made such a lovely, welcoming home! We are so blessed to have them as family.

The only way to get to the house is by boat...so you can see Miss Audrey's first boat ride to across Schroon Lake. (the house is in the background of the picture)

We spent most of our time enjoying the evenings and spending time with Rick and Mary. Rick entertained Audrey with some soothing songs and sounds from his guitar. She was memorized! Mary made us wonderful meals and was a gracious hostess to us all.

Schroon Lake is a place like no other and we are privledged to make new memories there with Miss Audrey.

Baby Sweetie can fly!!

Well, she can't exactly fly on her own...but she did take her first trip on an airplane! It was a very early flight as you can see by the sleepy eyes, but she did beautifully! She drank her bottle and took a little snooze during the flight. I think she is going to be a jet-setter!

We flew from Charleston to Albany, New York to see Angus's mom and brother, Rick and his wife Mary. More about our trip later....
