Meme was here!!

Meme came for a visit on Wednesday! We are always SO excited when she comes down for a visit with the girls. On Friday, we spent the day celebrating Meme's birthday (her birthday isn't until June 3rd, but we celebrated early). We had lunch at Mustard Seed and took a stroll through the Market....a short stroll....it was 90 degrees and a little too hot for us all.

We love to see Meme come and we hate to see her go....but we will be visiting Meme and Papa very soon.

Future Cirque de Soliel

I believe we may have a future Cirque de Soliel member! Miss Audrey was not able to get her hands on what she wanted.....so, she proceeded to do a balancing act from her bouncey seat! She was totally horizontal. I think she may be a fearless little one!

Lunch Date with the Girls

It was a great day for a lunch date! Audrey and I met our friends Danette and Juliette (9 mos.) at Laura Albert's on Daniel Island. As you can see our little munchkins had a great time! The date proved too much fun for little Miss Audrey; as she drifted off to sleep before we left. Juliette didn't seem to mind; she was occupied with some peas and a yummy bottle.

Danette was one of my "saving graces" with great Mom advise after Audrey was born. We have enjoyed our lunch dates with Danette and Juliette and look forward to watching these precious angels as they grow. (Danette was also my inspiration to become a blogger...thanks girl!!)

A Carolina Girl's First Day at the Beach

Another first for Miss Audrey today on Memorial Day 2009. We visited with The Daniels family (Josh, Mitzi, Ellie, Phillips, and Kate) at Seabrook today and took Audrey to the beach for the first time. Mommy wasn't prepared with bathing suits and other gear, but we thoroughly enjoyed it anyway! Phillips was very attentive to Miss Audrey and her new surroundings. He paid very close attention to her....what a sweetheart!

Audrey seemed to enjoy the day and managed to avoid a mouthful of sand...although I am sure there will be plenty of those as she becomes more mobile!

There are a few shots of her toes in the sand on the Carolina shore....reminds me of some great beach songs Mommy likes to shag too! We hope to spend many more days to come soaking up the sun and fun on the Carolina beach.

As those long beach days do to most of us, Miss Audrey is all tuckered out and upstairs sleeping like an angel. Sweet baby!

Daddy...my favorite!

Audrey definitely has her favorites...and Daddy is one of them! (it is a mutual love) She lights up every time she hears his voice and loves for him to hold her....all the time! She especially likes when he blows 'zerberts' on her tummy (as seen in pics above).

We were so excited to transition to solid foods and the highchair. Another new milestone in the first 6 months. So far, so good. The highchair is totally tricked out; including shoulder straps and a foot rest!
